I have a question, at my place we do containers and have our own containers park, sometimes we have to set up like 20 or so all in different trucks, so spending no more than 2-3 mins driving and probs no more than 6-7 mins in the truck should i put my card in and out every time i get in and out of the next truck as this is what i have been doing but its just a bit annoying.
just wondered if its ok to shunt trucks around a yard without putting your card in?
P.S. Is there a sure fire way of knowing if you have enough room between the back of the cab and the end of the trailer?
thanks in advance

For you yourself - no, if you don’t go out on the road it could just be covered by a manual entry as you get into the vehicle you are taking out on the road, this will then log the time as working on your card and you won’t lose driving time un-necessarily.
HOWEVER - companies running over the water would be well advised to do it on card as the Euro Po Po can take a dim view of missing mileage.
