if you go over the 2 hr rule they now have at services is £80 the normal rate, reduced to £50 on early payment, doncaster services.is it normal for firms to pay parking fine then deduct it from wages[not expecting them to pay it,just thought the ticket would be given to driver and his decision whether to pay it[and no its not me,i wouldnt waste 2+ hrs watching rugby, football maybe]. ta
With private parking tickets it is down to the owner and not the driver and the owner does not have to say who was driving.

unless the driver agrees with this then it would be an illegal deduction of wages
just cover the reg plates up before you enter and its free…
the cameras that clock you at lymm are spot on, so if you cover them also cover your trl number if you work for a bigger firm …
same as penalty notices for supermarket / matalan / mcdonalds etc etc car parks… if they want to pursue you for payment they need to be registered with dvla to get your details from your registration, that costs them money each time, then if you don’t pay they would have to chase you through the small claims process, which, i think, costs them a little bit more… so if it was me i would ignore it because they are just hoping that a certain percentage will be afraid and pay up without question. please don’t confuse with council or on street parking though… no doubt someone will correct me if i’m wrong…

but the firm paid it ,then he had to sign to have it deducted from his wages, that was my query, shouldnt of it be given to him and then he makes decision whether to pay it or not, rather than fine sent to company, they pay it then deduct it from wages, leaving you very little option than repay company

Company shouldn’t have paid it for reasons given above and he shouldn’t have to sign anything agreeing to the deduction.

Where abouts are you suppose to stop prior to entering Doncaster sevices to cover the plates up?
stopping on the access road will probably cause a traffic jam.
The 2 approach routes are both motorways. M18/M180.
So youd have to stop at least 1 junction down to do the deed, then you
d leave yourself open to being pulled for obscuring a number plate

If he signed then he is an idiot. If the company paid it before seeing if he would sign then they are idiots. They chose to pay it, that’s now their problem and nothing to do with him.
Parking charges are issued to the driver of the vehicle and not the registered keeper and they have no way of knowing or finding out who the driver was at the time. There is no legal obligation to tell them who was driving the vehicle at the time in the way there is with speeding fines for instance. So, if they don’t know who the driver is they cannot legally recover their charge.
These aren’t penalty notices or fines, they are a commercial invoice and are not legally enforceable. Just ignore every communication from, and do not enter into any dialogue with, them and it will go away. My son has had a couple of these in the last year or so and eventually they stopped sending letters after he never acknowledged any of their attempts to contact him.

Good advice.I believe that a firm called parking eye is one of the most prolific.
Unless he had given the firm permission to make payments on his behalf then they must be liable.
thanks all, advice is a bit late for lad[idiot] ,but at leat if it happens to me ill know how to go on

What Neil says
Agree also, just ignore anything which isnt on the Queens highway. They have no legal rights

busby ive explained this a million times over
tip tesco doncaster 5.30 a.m
coll west butterwick 11.00 a.m[not allowed in village before 9.30 a.m because of kids going to school]
so youve 5.5 hrs between tipping and collecting, you often end up with 2/3 hrs to loose[you have to park somewhere, services have toilets etc],west butterwicks 1/2 hr ish away.
that why they dont ring you after 50 mins like every one says stobarts do,they know your there for a reason, you cant collect, its not ready until 11 a.m
he should of gone in first exit of m180,as i do ,but he likes to wash his hands after a ■■■■
