Hi all. Anyone know what there like to work for. been offer a job out of there Livingston depot on class 2 but hearing mixed things on them. Anyone shed some light?
I can mate cause I’ve been there last 2 weeks on agency haha, works pretty straight forward, cages, pallets and occasional handball.
2 shifts, day shift is mon to fri with 4-8 drops depending on distance etc then back shift which is sun to thurs, 4pm on a sun and 5 next 4 days but you get a 2nd man who does almost everything with security boxes and keys etc allowing you to get motor side of things done, my longest back shift was 8 hours!!
Lads aren’t too bad either they all just wanna get the shift fin and get home.
Bad points (every job has them) you have to pick up all the waste from shops, so you might drop 4 cages, take 3 empties and one loaded with cardboard and bags so by the end of the run your tripping over the things.
Also you have to load your own vehicle but everything’s picked and labelled so it’s not too bad just a ■■■■■■ if you can’t get it all on one run.
Last bad point, the motors are 59 plate scanias which are all black inside and have manual boxes with clutch savers so makes it a pain when hill starting loaded.
Other than that the jobs straight forward mate and the shifts go pretty quick compared to other multi drop and store deliveries.
