Got to Asda at Chepstow at 10.20 pm for a 11 pm slot. Security man “decides” not to turn me away like the last 4 trucks but won’t be lifting the barrier until 10.35. He comes over and said he will let me in but I’m not to take my paperwork in until 10.45. I can already see that there is no other trucks in there so why leave me outside? As soon as I get in the 4 trucks from earlier all turn up at once plus another 3, so got a bit busy at the same time. Mr security made things more difficult and no common sense
Sometimes these security guards need to go on little power trips to get it out of their system. Its part of the process of being stuck in a portacabin for 12 hours with only a gate button, camera screen and whatever movie you can stream on your mobile whilst handing out gate passes every 5 mins. Its a certain type of job for a certain type of person.

I suppose the question has to be was the security bloke making these decisions on his own or was he just carrying out company policy.
If he was carrying out company policy he was just doing the job he’s paid to do.
Though I do understand your frustration 
Did you take your notes in to the booking in office straight away or wait like what the ‘man’ told you to do ? Me, I’d have said (to myself) stuff you and taken them in soon as parked, then maybe to be told ‘Too early drive’ but at least then you’d have tried.

Doesn’t work if you’re driving a plain wagon.
Used to hate going in there,gate-stapo used to give us bay numbers to park in,hardly any room between 2 trucks so parked on the left of one of em,bit 2 tight to attempt to squeeze in and be rude as only 5 trucks in.
Security soon ran over oi wrong bay move it drive !!! Err no lol warehouse bod came over to see what was going on once security finished warehouse bod said “ignore him stick it under the canopy your next”. 
Not been since can’t think why lol.
Security guards are puppets, just like truck drivers, those silly antics come from the powers above, most of whom haven’t got a clue anyway so take it easy on them[emoji16][emoji85]

A lot of the security staff I encounter on sites are, shall we say, mentally challenged. They think opening the site gates, asking you how far you have travelled and giving a detailed description of the site (even though it’s the fifth time you’ve been there), make them the most important person on the job. Talking to tipper drivers from the bigger firms around here, security bods are now looking for FORS stickers and the hug a cyclist junk bolted on the sides. I think to be a security guard you need some mental incapacity, If agency drivers have limps, site security have nervous ticks like flicking their hair back, crossing their eyes and saying “hmm” at the end of each sentence, hmm.
