:laughing: nope ,the skids are there ready for the next fork truck to be reversed upto it, and the said skids act a a chock to stop both trucks touching and getting damaged, simples really :wink:

Well, depends on what you mean by “massively valuable”. It’s only 12 years old, it’s in reasonably good condition, and more importantly, it’s mine :slight_smile: So, yes, I’m interested in looking after it.

and you’d be surprised how many items of plant do not have clearly marked lashing points. Hence the use what you can approach.

Yes, you’re right in that there are no “clearly marked lashing points”, but I do have the manual downloaded from the website which specifies the lashing points as one chain over the floor of the cab, and one around the towing eye at the back. That’s what I’ve done, although the manual specifies chains and I’ve used ratchet straps.
