Spoke to these today about a 60 reg DAF 105XF— £49,000

Is it me or is that over priced?

did they offer you work to go with it?

yes, they are over priced, they always have been, usually in the region of around £5000

it is the sales arm of Maritime Transport, the good thing about them is, you can pretty much guarantee that the trucks have been fully dealer maintained from new, if it needs fixing, it is fixed, end of…

I asked what sort of bennefits if have from buying a truck from them-meaning work wise but he went off telling me about reliability etc, asked again and he just says I’d have priority amongst other subbies. Weather it’s true or not I don’t know

Yea no doubt that the trucks are spot on but 50k? A brand new one isn’t much more. I’d take the chance buying one another year or 2 older, save 10-20k.

DON’T EVEN THINK OF DOING THEIR ‘BUY WITH WORK’ SCHEME!!!

IT IS NOT WORTH THE PAPER IT IS WRITTEN ON!!!

Ha I know that’s why I asked to see what he said. I’ve heard all the stories regarding that

If you want to pay top money for a seconhand DAF try Hanbury Riverside.
