got pulled over today and asked why i wasnt wearing a seatbelt, i said i didnt have one (which is true), the officer didnt beleive me so i let her look in the cab, she then said she was sure vehicles of this age (1996 n-reg) needed to have seatbelts fitted, then said something about a “new regultation”, in the end she let me go taking note of the reg.no

is it now the case that all trucks must be fitted with seatbelts?

If it’s a '96 plate then it didn’t require them fitted when new nor does it need them fitted under any “new regulation”
