So it looks like Seafrance is going to be taken over by Brittany Ferries after a deal with LD Lines fell though due to union problems. Personally I think it will improve the service no end, have never had a bad experience with Brittany, although I would have preferred to see LD Lines in there.
I assume the crews of Sea Chance will retain their jobs? So it wont matter what they call the ferries, if the crew’s the same the standard will remain as low as always.

I don’t think that’s necessarily the case. they have to improve the service. It was losing money due to being crap and Brittany Ferries have a reputation to keep up, so while it may not happen overnight it will have to happen. LD would have been better as not being French they could have got rid of the staff but if Brittany try a similar thing I imagine they will have huge union problems.

That’s as maybe, but the crew on the LD boats seem to actually like their jobs, they seem to like customers and go out of their way to look after them. The food is perfectly edible, nice and the ships are clean. Even P&O could learn from them. LD is certainly cheaper than P&O for the drivers.

Portsmouth - Le Havre, Dieppe -Newhaven/Dover, Rosslare - Le Havre and soon to be Boulgne - Dover. They operate in the med as well. Best ferry company I have ever traveled on.
