I arrived here at 1310hrs today and have just this minute backed on a bay… 4hours exactly from arrival to bay… Now I know I know it’s never been the best dock in the country but WTF… It’s taking the pish somewhat.
You did well

Had a similar experience the the other week, was just dropping off an empty but, while I was sat on the pad, the office rang with a box to pick up from there grrrr.
Also, how did they manage to win an award for that terminal last year, did they bribe the judges, hate that place, absolutely hopeless with very arrogant staff.
Thankfully I don’t visit the dump often.

It’s a year since I was last at Seaforth, sounds like nothing’s changed. To tell you the truth it was the same forty years ago. Idleness is not an art unless it’s carried to perfection. Regards Kevmac47.
4 hr’s hey thats no bad 1969 Canada Dock 3 days to get shot o three BMC tractors in cases now that was a wait. Eddie.
I don’t know which is worse, sea forth or thamesport.
They are both inadequate ports.

Easy on the scouse slagging dude!!
It’s got naff all to do with idle workers, it’s simple, if the ACL, MSC & a Gracechurch ship are in & they’ve got a Coastal on the berth they only have about 3 or 4 ‘straddle carriers’ working the pad.
Peel Ports (the owners) don’t give a toss about trucks, despite the fact that their business relies on them. The ships MUST be turned around in the alloted time, if there’s bad weather etc they don’t have to pay demurrage to the shipping lines but keep the trucks as long as they like while concentrating on ‘the ships’ & it doesn’t cost them a penny!!
