A while ago somebody asked about the procedures in Felixstowe and got some very good answers. Does anyone know the procedures for Seaforth please?
Through main gates, go straight ahead and keep left, go through the ANPR gantries at about 10mph, queue for the AUTO lanes and go in, scan your card by the red light, then when it goes green drive forward over the axle weigher dead slow. At the next machine scan your card again, press your finger onto the scanner then enter the info on the screen, such as seal number, pin number for the box out, whether you have PPE etc. It’ll print a ticket and then drive forward and to the right and lead to the slots, just back in any empty slot, scan your card at the adjacent machine, press which lane you’re in (left or right) and it’ll say wait for strad. When done just head for the exit.
How do you get the card that you swipe■■?

I believe it’s the building on the right of the machines (the old booking in building) but all the cards for the company were dealt with internally and we only needed to pick them up if I remember correctly.
DJC is correct, cards can be bought for £20 from the building on the right (instead of slipping off to the left for the barriers) you’ll stand at a window for ■■■■■■■ ages while about 8 people in the office pretend they don’t know you’re there, so you’ll tap and maybe even cough to make your presence known and if you’re lucky someone will say “driver at the window” you’ll be greeted by someone who clearly doesn’t like their job one bit. Thats the drill at night anyway never been in the day. They’ll want ID and will only accept card payment… Make sure you drive through the lights slow otherwise it will misread your reg which would mean you’ll find yourself sat the the screen waiting for the same miserable customer service rep as at the window in the office to come over the speaker to ask for your details. Same for the weigh bridge 2mph or it will tell you to exit and go back around for another go! You can use a temporary card but that is a pain in the back side you have to call the rep at every point…with regards to the ticket if it says “pad” crack straight on and get in any slot. if you’re empty and if it says anything else (a number and a couple of letters) you go off to the left and it gets manually lifted… all the drivers i’ve spoken to on there are sound and willing to help!

Thanks lads.
Karl91uk…you’ve got the description down to a tee…especially where you have to “make your presence known” in the office.
