Seaforth docks

Does anybody what the hold up is today down at Seaforth? Seems that the box jockies are being proper messed around. Some have been waiting outside since before 7 am.

they back on strike as they employed someone who was best suited for the job rather than a workers son?

Not there so just guessin with the new computer system starting yesterday its broke down already or more likely someones knicked it.

I drove past this morning and they were parked up all along the dock road down past Cargills and the bizzies had closed the strand road entrance. Major ■■■■ up somewhere!

Just been past there myself. Trucks parked in bus stops and every available bit of space. Alex gate is closed, so we can assume that is full in there. New VBS is working well then. So glad am passing in my car on the way home. Job done. How can those guys make that pay?

No idea. But that place has always been a bad joke.
I think they just can’t get the staff…In both senses.

Queueing down the Dock Road - that takes me back! In the 60s, lorries were 3 deep queueing all the way along waiting to load/unload. It was a Saturday morning treat for me to drive down there with me Dad on the way to his works. I used to think it was brilliant that Liverpool was so busy - little did I know that it was actually a damning indictment of the lazy, feckless, light-fingered dockers…oh, and the absence of any pallets or containers!

Isn’t it a bit sad that the people interviewed for local rag are scared to give their names. Can the people in the dock be that shallow, that they would make somebody suffer for being critical over this nonsense. Wonder whether there are grounds for some compensation for those affected?

If the problem is drivers not being registered then why is everyone queuing clogging up the roads round there?

It’s utter ■■■■■■■■ for Peel Ports to come out & essentially blame the chaotic 1+mile queues, grid lock on all surrounding roads and 7 hour delays on the hauliers. Pretty outrageous really.

Any hauliers that were there unregistered, won’t have been intentionally and they should have had proper contingency in place to get the trucks through in a timely manner whilst the new system beds itself in.

Same chaos this morning. I know I would not be in a hurry to pay the registration fee. What a scam.

Wait till the "BIG SHIPS SAIL DOWN THE ALLEY ALLEY OH"
Summat to look forward to.
