What is up with these curtain side trailers near Purfleet Esso and river Road Barking?
There is at least 10 trailers I’ve seen filled to bursting with crap a few of them look like they are close to tipping over as well.
Been wondering about this for a while. Are people just filling trailers with junk then abandoning them for the council to deal with?
You sure they’re not filled with “pods” full of “wash” from diesel laundering■■?

Pretty sure I read on the Internet somewhere it’s much cheaper to load an old trailer with nasty waste and abandon it rather than pay to dispose of it properly. So you’re probably right.

Trailers like this are cheap to buy, they just cut the roof off tautliners and boxes and fill them like bulkers.
Many get towed out under cover of darkness and left in country roads in any available layby or passing places. I blame the cost of landfill, it is so expensive that the cheaper end of waste management would rather use this form of ‘disposal’ to make money. We as taxpayers end up funding the clear up. One trailer left on the outskirts of Harlow had 50 tons of rubble and waste inside it.
