the first picture in this latest batch…what would be the story behind that seddon in army green and with usa stamped on it ?
This would most likely be a vehicle used on one of the US camps in this country, they would have been purchased here to save bringing them over from the States, probably hasn’t done a lot of work and the mileage will be low. I can understand what was said about the copyright markings and reading his post he wasn’t really moaning just pointing out there seemed to be a lot of it happening now. He probably didn’t realise these jokers were selling them on E-bay and by the way the markings can be over done by using a paintshop programme if they really want to go to the trouble which isn’t a lot for someone who wants make a quick buck. We see the same happening with model trucks, gash builds and kits being sold for silly prices. You have to blame the fools that buy these things too though, they think they are getting a bargain, you can buy a copy of Classic Commercial Vehicles for less than a Fiver a Month, chocker with pics and articles of oldies. Franky.
Same thing with model railway stuff. Go to a toyfair and you’ll see someone sat behind a table, silly smile on their face and a load of battered models fit for a charity shops’ recycling bin, at hilarious prices. AND WHY DO MODEL SHOWS/SALES EVENTS ATTRACT THE OVERWEIGHT SOCKS n SANDALS BRIGADE WITH BODY ODOUR?
Re. Classic and Vintage Commercials mag, there hasn’t been anything of interest in there for several months worthy of it’s inflated price tag, unless hazy readers memories and special insurance ads are your thing.

Harry you need a photo editing application of some kind. Photoshop, Corel PP etc. You put in your writing and then give it a degree of opaqueness so you can see through it to the photo.
As far as photos go judging by the comments it looks like I’m alone in not bothering to watermark the ones I’ve put up. If people want to copy them then good luck to them. The ones that make me laugh are the ones that buy them who could instead come on here and download them too!

Five axles for 38 tonne was 1983, the Volvo does have the livery similar to Cawthorn’s although I have a picture of one of Cawthorn’s 88’s in an advert in a Oct 71 Commercial Motor and it doesn’t have the white band around the cab, JCN 29H, if anyone knows it. Ah, just spotted its a left ■■■■■■ so does that make it an 89!
Franky.
No problem with the watermark Bubbs. I had a batch of my photos appear on a couple of websites, and also given to someone to help contribute towards a book being put together. No problem with sharing my photos, I quite often give them to people who ask, however, these photos had been given over and the recipient told that the person giving the photos had taken them! Now it’s one thing for them to appear on a website with someone else’s name credited to them, but I was b#ggered if they were going to appear in a book without my name being credited and someone else taking the ‘glory’. Needless to say I am very wary who and how I give photos to now, shame it’s come to that. If anyone is really interested in a picture with a watermark I’m sure Bubbs and others can e-mail them?
Hello lads, here I must laugh…I stick pics on which I think are a cross section of my collection and the shot that get you lot chatting is the green F88 peeping into the shot of the A reg Scania with the container on…I might start a thread “lorries in the background of photos”

Buy ‘Heritage Commercials’ instead!
I did a couple of months back (the one that had the F16 in it) I read about the last Gardner powered Foden in WHSmith and put it back!
