Hi Marc sorry can’t help you with any info on the Scania with the loft conversion it was just one I had bought to break can’t even remember where it came from!
I see it has a 2 series sun visor though and Macarthy Stone were in the next yard you can see their tower crane.
Regards Pat
The 141 With loft coversion was R/H/D but 410 bhp dutch spec not the fastes of Scanias put pulled well . The roof conversion was done by Billy Sadler when he was involved with Select trucking .His partner at the time was a proper wide boy ( con man ) who had a couple of alias names Willam Thatchem & Dave Steptoe just being 2 of them ,He did a runner with the firms money . The truck was bought from Stuart Myhill and run on M/East work for R&J International ( Dow Freight). When Select bought new Iveco 220/38s the 141 was given a face lift & i sprayed it 2 tone blue then put on Swiss work . I drove the old girl for a few of months doing swiss and Italy untill Mr Steptoes disapearance . at this piont Stu came and collected the truck due to none payment and i returned to my faithfull F88 . incidentally One of the ivecos was smashed up in Turkey on its 1st Trip and was never recovered .
Hi Marc here is a pic that Tony Eldridge who was the workshop manager of Sea Route Ferry here in Southampton gave me a couple of days ago of 4 new Scania R113 6X2’s being delivered. I think they are all ‘L’ reg but you know what my eyes are like
This would have been somewhere between 1st aug 1993 to 31st july 1994.
