I remember the Bond Dodge running out of Sodbury when I was a kid, didn’t it get replaced with an ERF E6 6 wheeler?

Hi Muckaway  I had the Dodge from new! Fairly unusual wagon because everyone else was buying Volvos and Sudden Accidents at the time but what a lovely drive she was… V8 turbo which was more noise than go but married to a Fuller 9-speed which helped greatly… I only knew of about 6 others like it so pretty rare. She did get replaced with an Erf but after I left Bonds. It was an ex Pearce’s from Devizes, F40 KMW IIRC. F40 replacement was V99 FGB, an ES6 which I think they are still running.

Bubbs, you are amazing!! I have pictures of the old girl but its great to see her on here, thank you :grimacing: :grimacing:

Hello again, the old Sed/Atk in the Fibreglass livery turned Moo-Moos crank…the lorry was on contract from Pritchards(look on the door) who were at Crickhowell at the time but now are at Pontypool.Glad the Bodge was a nice memory for you Pistonbroke

Ok heres another bunch of ERFs,the first 2 were BRS contract lorries based at Bridgend…I think :unamused:

A few of these firms are still going but not many.

Cheers Bubbs,

Fine photos, particularly like The OHS F12 a real good looking lorry.

JOHN

.

Great pics Bubbs,Nice to see a pic of “bully” the bonnetted 112 og PGs was the first truck i drove for him in 1985/6? had to take it down to Bourton to get a load of shavings  got there and back ok, so after that nothing was a problem  . That truck had a cattle box on it, horse box and finally was an artic with Esteppe cab on it with Maggott driving it delivering /collecting trucks. And yes, when it was a rigid it towed a trailer (3 axle) from memory it was 22 metres long !!!!! I wonder where "bully "ended up? One time someone got pulled in Dover for over length and over weight, when the minsitry rang the yard Louisa answered the fone and told them "its ok, its legal........in Norway !!!!!! :unamused: she wasnt the sharpest tool in the box !
That pic was taken in Gilders Yard too.
The red ATKI in your pics, isn`t that one of George Reads■■?

Congrats on two years Marc

My ex driver Paddy Keoghan gave me these to put on

NAR 608P a Scania 140

It was ex Pan Express vehicle (One of your old pics thanks)

One for you Pat, back in the eighties, I got back in the yard and as usual, a 5 oclock job was to take a 141 and lowloader, loaded with,I think 2 tractor units, and I def remember a forklift sideways across the back :open_mouth: and few other things chucked on there as well, and it had to go to your place, usual thing, no tax, nothing, on the head board was James Bond International Trucking :unamused: last words P.G said was, "if you get stopped you make sure you tell them you work for Pat Duffy "

‘Well Done’ in a really deep voice was one of Peter’s favourite sayings
