another two these was at the GT Dorset show 1985
this road train I drove for Coopers Bollington it was clean as new on the saturday I delivered nr Wissington beet factory and this was what it looked like Monday dinner time.I was tramping with that trailer 15ft 6ins high going as far as Falmouth to the South to Inverness to the North bleedin hard work

This Roadtrain and trailer was revamped for Massey’s by Tom Morgan Goostey the truck was 6 1/2 years old they always keep their fleet like new.
This is a one of its a Bristol bus chassis with a home made cab its Leeds 1990.
John,
The last pic is actually a CROSSLEY bus chassis John, it was an ex Reading Corporation D/D (the only Crossley they had I THINK) and I travelled on it regularly as a youngster when I resided in the town.
It still exists by the way, I see it at the Lincoln Steam Rally most years!

Hi Windrush. There was a batch of (I think) 10 Crossleys owned by Reading Corporation.
There ia picture of ERD 154 here. The batch was delivered in 1950 and (again, I think) lasted until about 1965. I am not an authority on Reading Corporation but it is good to see your picture and to know that at least one survives.

Thank’s for that wessexman, cleared that topic up nicely! The last Reading Corporation bus seats that I sat on were in the garage of Foden agent Richardsons on Grove Road, Fenton S-O-T a few years ago, they had a scrap bus in the yard and had nicked the seats for customers to use.

You must have saved stuff from every C M they printed Bubbs to find that one of Arden Quarries, I’ve been asking around for one of theirs for ages.
Would it be okay with you if I pinch a copy of it to add to my Peak District thread.
And that body on the little TK, wouldn’t look out of place on one of Fodens Dumpers.

And here was me thinking it was only Hoveringham used those ribbed bodies
I reckon the front axle on the TK would be overloaded with that peak
