Those Foden’s of Muntons used to run down to Italy quite regular I would say they may be hard pushed to get someone to take one down now
Nice job flatman. Used to work in the colleries with Short Bros and many other contractors early 80’s. Easy money.
Short’s used to subcontract most of their transport, prefering to stick with plant of all sorts.

Lonewolf Yorks:
he has had a number of people look at his computer and they cant solve the problem so it could be terminal
If its getting as far as the desktop screensaver, its not terminal. The pc is working and attempting to load Windows. Worst will be a OS reinstall. One thing though. I’m assuming that all these great pics are scanned onto it. If you decide all is lost, don’t just sling the computer. They are probably recoverable unless you have had a total hard drive failure which it doesn’t sound like.
What operating system is it?
Well done Lonewolf ( and to Moomooland’s pigeon
) there is no daubt that your help is appreciated by Marcus and by all of his followers, now has anybody got a spare removal van for the next couple of weeks
.
Here are a couple of photos from my old scrapbook, I can’t remember if the driver was Taff Jones or " Matt " Dillon and this is one Bedford T.K. that I never attempted to start by putting a screwdriver across the starter motor terminals.
I wish I was 18 again
Regards Steve.

Thanks for the Arrow Bulk and glad the thread is well and thriving again. I visited the doctor and got my prescription raised for the tablets for the bewildered

Hello Chris
The size it grew to brought about it’s end. The group had to go public. RMC then bought the whole group, but in December 1973 RMC reorganised its operations and sold off much of the Pointer fleet and depots. The 68 strong tanker fleet was sold to Mitchell Cotts, which became Anglian Transport. Pointers mobile crane division became Quinto Crane Hire.

It’s a Dennis Maxim this one is one of three operated by Leonard Green from Parkgate Rotherham. They had Perkins V8’S.
Nice photo of Leonard Green’s Maxim John,I remember them running about - usually to Birmingham area via Ripley Pig country
Is that a ■■■■■■■ badge on the Corrall’s artic? I think they were taken over by Powell Duffryn group.

I remember Greens well Chris, mainly ERF 8 wheelers, they used to be lined up on the A61 at the bottom of Swanwick hill outside that little cafe run by two old sisters for breakfast on their way to Brum. And the less said about the Ripley Pig the better, bless her. We rambled on about her a bit on TW.
Well obviously that self raising flour is useless
Hi John,
A lot of brilliant pics there, you are certainly doing Marc proud, not only helping to keep his thread going, but the quality pics you are posting.
