Hi Andy, if you look at page one of the Scottish Middle East Haulers thread, M.and C. Jamie posted a great article about a couple of Frank White’s trucks going down to Jordan in the 70’s and it shows a picture of the German/ Austrian border near Salzburg.
I think that this is the border in the photo as I can remember that A1 Transport ( Leed’s ) did a bit of Austria and Yugoslavia in the early 80’s.
Hi Marcus, I have never seen that photo of the Blue Dart D.A.F. before so thanks for that .
I.I.R.C. the Hick’s D.A.F. B85 BTH was driven by Peter Wall, a.k.a. The Plater, maybe Jamie knows for sure.
Best regards Steve.

hmmm, found that steve, but difficult to know - most of their border crossings with other EEC countries looked a bit generic didn’t they, wheelnut seemed to think it was aachen, but he does make a lot of stuff up, bless him
Aachen Sud maybe, definately not Aachen Nord and I bet that Dave Devonport knows it.
Aachen Sud, wasn’t that near The Wally Stop where they used to serve half a bucket of mussels and chips every Tuesday night or was that at Lokeren tank wash, hopefully Wheelnut or Bestbooties will know .
Best regards Steve.
