Scrapbook Memories (Part 1)

Top stuff again Bubbs.
That BOCM Silcocks wagon just about gave me a heart attack remembering what they used to be like - 20 ton handballs of carbon black, fights with the shop stewards about getting another man up on the trailer, coming out looking like a miner. Happy days?

Great pics of the Ford Ds too - some of them could really fly. Anyone remember Romeo Transport London - big Ford Ds, horrible maroon and lemon colour scheme, but they went like s**t off a shovel. Got a feeling the drivers were never short of imagination when it came to logbooks as well…

A very, very nice looking truck…was it Harry Monks I wonder■■?

Also, did the Russian “Authorities” ever suss the number plate

Hello again, lets do Bedfords today.

Hope these are ok.

Cheers Bubbs.

You drove it overland to Afghanistan a year and a half ago■■? :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

How on earth did you manage that then, which way did you go and where abouts in Afgahnistahn did you go to??

Did you drive it back or sell / scrap it? Must have been some well dodgy journey!!
