40 ton was a long way off this was 1972/3, as a tractor unit I think they were only plated for 26 ton.
I think you’ve got your badging a little wrong, the 1729 had a (theoretical) output of 290 bhp, they did have a model I had the dubious pleasure of driving for a while, the 1619 which was plated to run at 32 tons with a 190hp output.
