Hi Ian
Sorry I have not got a clue either as there is no information with this pic at all I would say the A34 myself must have been a steep hill as there were 3 tractors 2 at the front one at the rear I have found another view from the rear!
Regards Pat

Chris Hill phoned me earlier today and informs me that the location is A34 Beacon Hill southbound and the machine is a Limer802 he thinks the driver walking along side was Bill Miles the driver of the middle lorry would have been Gordon Prebble and the rear wrecker was probably driven by Reg Boyce out of the workshop!!
Regards and thanks to Chris.
Hello lads, what excellent stuff Pats put on here, many thanks mate .A mixed bunch again today.
Hope these are ok
Cheers Marc.
They’re more than alright Marc, I’m liking the Hansons Sed Ak in the previous batch and the Spencers Sed Ak as well.
Have you come across any Staveley Lime Products or Peakstone lorries in your cuttings mate ? They were engaged on quarry work from Dove Holes in Derbyshire.
Hi Marc Keep the pics coming, sorry about the job. They don’t half bring back some memories! It’s not until something agitates the stagnant grey matter that you realise all the firms ( and trucks ) that you once saw every day and now are fogotten.
Gavin
Another one today no idea what this is looks like a Thonycroft Antar! Don’t know when these were taken but it was 1965 or later as the Mini is a C reg.
The text with the clipping read’s
A one hundred and thirteen ton load load passed along Basingstoke By-Pass with a police ■■■■■■ on Monday on its way to Farnborough from Southampton Docks. The 90ft long, 22ft 6in high and 18ft. 9in wide ‘Flame Trap’ is for Aircraft Research Establishment.
Regards Pat
HI Pat
The large lorry is a Rotinoff Atlantic if the reg is RPY 767 then it is Sunters of Nothallerton.
HI
The trailer is a Crane Girder Trailer.
Even though its local I sure its not Hills as according to the fleet list they didnt have one but if im wrong, im sure Chris will put me right.

Cheers Marc.
Me again, thought I’d bung a few more on.
Hope these are of interest

The Cadwallader tipper brings back memories. Recognise the Volvo dealer as Griffin mill at Trefforest. Guessing the body would have been a locally made K&J Withey.
Very enjoyable Marc, brilliant pics. That Rowe Hillmaster is a rare bird, although not sold in large numbers, they were meant to be a good truck so ive read in the past. Good work mate
thanks again marc, thomas allen, a s jones and philmacs!, your making this thread one (if not) the best on here…
