Might be a mixed bunch but there’s some great pics there mate!!
You do us proud marc!! Got any old 111s or 141s I’m looking for One in particular…A 1979/80 111 reg no HWD 456 V…I’m pretty sure thats the one.
Last i saw of it was in keltrucks yard west bromwich… Back in 84/85,It’s my old truck, and i’ve got no pics of her… She was two tone blue,And silver…A 6x4 unit with a rear lift axle… Thanks and keep the good work up marc…

Marc Confirming everyones views your doing a great job and making lots of us very nostalgic.Amongst the last bunch the RD/Geest F12 A749JVF has special memories as when I worked at Rd’s one of O/D bought that off Glyn Davies and later started his own company.I’ve enclosed a picture of it towards the end of its life

Note the 2 day cabs with the curtains round… my ole man used to have a piece of board that went across the door handles as a bed, but was not fabcy enough to have curtains, mostly covered as much of the window as he could with coats etc

Note the TIR plate on the front of the Daniel Stewart fridge. It says “long distance runs”. Where was he off to back in 1966 with TIR plates?

It looks to me like the Northampton heat of the Lorry driver of the year competition about 1964/5 :slight_smile: But there again I might be wrong :unamused:

I second that bubbleman, must be in line for one of the best threads on the forum. I was pleased to see the Claben Merc, does anyone remember
Wee Arthur who drove for Claben in the 60’s.
