Loading those bags neatly looks like a bit of hard graft, they’re no lightweights. the Bristol is sat down a bit at the back end

Like the photo of the BMC FJK 360, we had an identical outfit worst truck ever built, the trailer is a Carrimore Mk 4 which was the best you could get in those days. We were buying BMCs out of loyalty to the dealer we were transporting the cars for, thank goodness they took over the ERF dealer. We extended the trailer by 7ft when the regulations changed & put it behind a Leyland Badger.

hiya,
Aye’ but you can bet the old girl wouldn’t be overloaded, the driver would
risk suspension for breaking that rule, good old red and rust Eh’
thanks harry, long retired.

This is a cracking pic of a working lorry, and a typical load of the times Boris. I used to go to various docks with my Dad as a kid in the 1950’s fetching sacks of animal feed-stuff.
Cheers Dave.

Those Hotpoint Dodges were they not from Peterborough ? Seem to remember steel delivered there . regards Keith .

Just been looking at the South Wales co Glyn John pics a few pages back. If anybody worked for them in the early 80s do you remember an F88 driver that spent his spare time in the cab playing his bongos (not a euphemism  ) he was once kind enough to give me a lift from Swansea up to Carlisle and was a right laugh, never saw him again.

I was wondering about that photo Ken saying it was a MK3, was there a MK3? do you have any photo’s of yours extended, with the Badger under it? Cliff.
