Note the tracks on the side for use in mud. Think I would have stayed in the mud rather than get to the front and dodge bullets sat in that.
Cheers Phil.

Lovely old stuff especially those Fodens of Buckleys warrington thank you Trevor
My old man drove for buckleys, scammels, atkis and leylands i believe.
Liked the photo of Allen Bros Boalloy-cabbed Thorneycroft. I reckon that was one of the best looking cabs of it’s time. I’ve tried to trace the vehicle in the past, but it seems to have been either scrapped or exported.
Local knowledge states that the brothers were better at drinking any profits than saving them.
Anyone have any further information on this old Trusty? It apparently had the last (and best) version of the 6-cylinder Thorneycroft engine.

Yes always one of my favorites ROF. Ive posted this pic. before .Don’t know anything about the Allen Bros one
but here is the Boalloy cab at Earls Court on the Trusty, along with the Swiftsure.Be interesting to know who
ended up with this one. Mike.
Looking at the 8 wheeler Atki tippers prattman I’d guess you’ve cut up Colin Wrights 8 wheeler book ?
Thanks, Mike. Photos of those lovely old “Basingstoke Bombers” are few and far between, sadly.
