I remember regularly going past Neales yard & thought how smart the line up of Yellow Marathon’s was !!
Shame about the checked trousers eh??

Calor took thirteen Trunker II with semi automatic transmissions, which were extremely poor in service, they would not ■■■■■■ the vehicle on downshifts, and as a result the vehicle was driving whilst the driver was braking, and the gearbox ran so hot that spitting on it would sizzle. Another safety problem was that the power take off was rotating all the time making it hazardous to couple trailer air lines. The diaphragms failed with monotonous regularity. They all ended up in the North East where the fleet engineer replaced them with second hand units from leyland octopus chassis from Jimmy Monte dismantlers.
