The old AEC in the first pic is an interesting old girl…

I’m sure I was told that most of the lorries are wreckers because they were used to drag the old buses around while they were being restored, and because some of them had come from bus fleets…

Does any one know if any of these are still about? As far as I know, Winkleigh has been out of bounds to the public for quite some time - I think they had a new landlord… :unamused:

Well Paul an original pic of the AEC wrecker is featured in this months Heritage Commercial magazine and I am actually compiling an email to its editor stating that I recall it working for Warfield Garage (near Wokingham, Berks) back in the 1960’s!! Good to see that it is still around, and the colour is as I remember it as well. What a coincidence eh?
