The Truckex show was held at Wroughton Aerodrome in the early nineties…a big advantage being that the Science Museum was open as well… A fabulous place to have a browse around if you haven’t been…

For some reason, as a kid I used to call the twin windscreen Fodens “the cross window.” When Dad told me he was moving from a D reg 6 to a B reg 8w I asked “has it got crossed windows?”
Twin 'screens would be a good option on tippers nowadays.

What a lovely pic. Apparently in the 50’s, 60’s and probably early 70’s, the likes of the BBC and such, probably due to time and cost factors, didn’t seem to want to venture out very far so it could have meant that you saw a lot of location images from around the Shepards Bush and Charing Cross areas and I am wondering if the photo was taken around there.
