Re. the pics of the Ferodo trucks.
I seem to remember seeing a F89 rigid 4 wheeler at Chapel -en-le -Frith when I was tipping there once.
I was told they used it to test different types of brake linings.

Cheers Bassman

What happened to this outfit
I turned out a number of times to them on nightime breakdowns when on the spanners at a VOLVO dealership at Preston late 1980’s
When repaired they would be off like a Bat out of Hell
I think they ran between Bristol and somewhere in Ayrshire (But I may be wrong ?)

Think they got swallowed up by securicor omega logistics, then again by dhl.they ran to a hub in dundonald.not far from kilmarnock.

Re the Spanish Dodge tipper; I remember seeing one on a farm just like that as a kid; It couldn’tve been much older than 10 years but had virtually rotted away.

No wonder payloads were better in days gone if that Morey Daf is anything to go by; tiny sides on that tipper…think I’d disappear and grease my bucket if that wanted a load

We had an ERF 4-wheeler fridge van at Maltby on a J plate, affectionately known as the Iron Lung.
Bubbs, was it John Keeling from Bath that ran immaculate AEC artics in a green and red livery with the Keeling name on the trailer chassis, and if so do you have any photos?

Cheers,

Chris.

Hi Bubbleman, Your photos always are a highlight for my day.

The photo of the TM, makes me realise how well they were styled. They don’t look old fashioned today after so many years.

People run down the TK cabs but one thing was they didn’t suffer as much from cab rot as many of their competiotors. Where did they go so far wrong with the TM. They were certainly good at prematurely rotting
