They squash it down but sometimes to hit the magic 44ton it will stick out on top. Crushed cars normally stick out.
You get to know your loaders at different customers and know who to watch to make sure they are not damaging the trailer or your nets.
Scrap work right now is practically non existent as the price is so low for the metal and the haulage prices some companies are paying are poor.
Generally its easy work as you only have to open the rear doors every so often.

Don’t forget to park in a straight line to protect your unit rear lamps and check between your tyres after loading before moving ,stand well back when undoing the first door so not to risk a broken jaw from the handle if the loads been forced down ,sorry If you already know this .
