Shortage in Scotland though?? Only had one shift this year myself, mainly due to my own choice, but phone ain’t exactly ringing off hook.

You could get a Full Time start tomorrow morning if you have your class 1. Its just knowing where to look and whos door to knock.
Driver shortage my arse. More like drivers not going out to work for crap pay.
Id much rather jump in a van for 9.50 an hour than haul 44 tonne around for the same money. Ita a no brainer.
It’s the old age thing of finding the right place and right money to do it aswell. Plenty of places looking for folk but it’s finding what your happy with 
What happens to those firms that have national pay scales - when it comes to Scotland?
I remember years ago when visiting Leeds - and hearing that “anyone working for a public sector firm with a big union” - was treated in the local economy, friends, neighbors etc. as “if they were a stockbroker”… !
