Hello prattman
Many thanks marra for those excellent photos.
I don’t suppose you have any other photos of North East timber haulage you would be willing to add to the thread?
Kindest regards

C.G. Here are some more photos of timber operations in the Nelson region of New Zealand’s South Island. Most of the timber hauled to Nelson port is destined for Japan. Basically a very similar operation to that in ■■■■■■■ and South West Scotland.

A few from the A76 around Sanquhar. Eddie.
Hello erfguy
Excellent photos marra. Many thanks for posting them
I didn’t realise Nichol’s had a Hino 700 series drag.
I thought the fleet was 100% Scania except for a green Foden Alpha 8 wheeler that they use on local duties.
I think the John Miller MAN TGX (PX09 BYU) used to belong to a company called E G Faulder as I can remember that truck running down to Workington loaded with timber in the Faulder livery
Kindest regards

hello CG here’s a few old photo’s I took on the A68 on Allensford Bank many years ago, the first one belonged to R. T. Nicholson, the second someone from Ponteland I think it might have been someone called Minto or something similar, Frank Wards Foden labouring up the hill and lastly Monkhouse Volvo taken in their yard. regards prattman.
