Every day, every school, and police and councils do nothing!
This is a common sight for me. Although I have seen people block an entire street while they go ‘nip’ into the school. Wonder how they’d react if one of the children at the school needed medical attention but the ambulance couldn’t get there. I don’t like to stereotype but I never see guys do this when dropping off their kids.
Guess if they take too long they might miss loose women.
i turn up to a delivery point at 9am one day it was all conned off to trucks to off load a lady pull upp in a landrover discovery and park in it 2 mins before i arrived.i sat wait and asked why she parked there all i got im dropping kids off she was still in her pjs.asked how far away she lived end of street round corner.so said y could u not get dressed and walk them.got a load of abuse.so i said has that 4x4 ever left london and been offroad.as they what they built for mainly she said no.plus its a lot safer for my kids to travel in. is that what u think i said what about when u hit some with it when u on ur phone or chatting to someone as u travel down the road abd bit see them.they will either be thrown across the road or end up underneath it so in other words ur driving a killing machine.she soon shut up and hurried off.

Reminds me of a few years ago, trying to get up to Crich in Derbyshire, got halfway up the bank, cars both sides outside a School (a small village primary school) not a chance to get past with a trial of cars behind me,knocked on the school and a woman answered told her the cars needed to move and was met with “they are all watching the Easter play”,told her I didn’t care they are blocking the road…they had to stop the play and get all the parents out to move the cars
Lots of death stares from the parents,I just smiled and asked them what would of happened if a fire engine needed to get past.
They need the cars to go to the shop for bulk buy pizzas and curly fries. Dad feeds them on a Sunday afternoon with his own kids

Try living on a road to a school !
We eventually persuaded the police to come and nick as many as possible for all the offences being commited .
Parking , seatbelts, overloading, no insurance, no mot , no licence, driving while banned and one even for drug offences and assault on police .
All this in a normal little town not known for trouble .
It was much better afterwards until the next generation of kids came along .

Have a bird lives a few doors from me drives her kids to school . It’s the best part of a 10 min drive. if she walked it’s a two min walk thru the ally between the houses . By the time she leaves and gets back best part of half our
Nothing presses my irritated button like seeing the common sight of a 30 something small mum peering over the wheel of a huge 4x4 driving in a domineering way (usually up the bumper of the car in front).
It shouldn’t press my button, but it just does . Can’t explain it as lots of people drive in a domineering way. Maybe because there’s so many 4x4s driven badly round our way and the mum types in 4x4s have the added thing of not only aggressiveness in a large vehicle, but seem completely devoid of any spacial awareness. Que much door banging in supermarkets from their Chelsea tractors whilst they prioritise unloading little Bethany. If they’re parking, I change countries to avoid them and the dodgem antics. Don’t know.
Never mind worrying about bad parkers. Get them biscuits off the dash, before some Plod sees them!
He’ll want one!

I wonder if the opening war against Diesel might hot-up, and 4x4s finally become socially unacceptable?
Nah…they’ll just stick v8’s in em.

This didn’t happen did it?
Used to live in the house right next door to a lower school in Bedfordshire and its remarkable some of the parking crap that happens. I was once an hour late for McWork, then later the same week 2 hours late for McWork, because the same 4x4 parked on our drive blocking me in. Third time I had the devils own job to get out because she parked across the drive leaving just enough space to squeeze an AX out.
Cheeky ■■■■■ told me what did I expect when i live in a house next door to a school, which was here first! I responded that I expected the lazy mothers to obay the law, not trespass on other people’s property and not park on the yellow zigzaggy things which extended from the school gates across the front of our drive.
I think the school run should be made illegal… If you live within 1.5 miles of the school, the kid should be made to walk. If not, the council has an obligation to provide transport. There is no reason at all for parents to drop their kids off at school and pick em up in the car every morning and afternoon. If they made the school run illegal in London, it would go a very large way towards our clean air targets.

What you should have had was a raise up post and when she parked on the drive raised it so she couldn’t leave and leave a note saying gone to work be back Friday
