Schmitz Cargobull curtain aider question

Hi folks ,
Has anyone had problems with a Schmitz cargobull curtainsiders "creeping " when without a unit attached ?
When we drop our new trailer its started to creep forward despite the handbrake being applied when being loaded (by forklift) , when in for 6 weeks insp ask garage, they put on MOT rollers and it tested ok!
Going to start chocking it as nightshift don’t want to load it unless unit attached (understandably) we have no other sch cargobull to compare to ■■

Are the trailer legs attached with those spring pads that could make move ?

How much does it move?
It’s normal enough for the trailer to move forward a little as the weight comes on and it sits down. It’s most noticeable at the foot of the landing legs. The wheels don’t actually turn, the trailer just sits down around them.
I presume this is what your talking about.
Try dumping all the air out of the trailer suspension before in hooking from it and see does it cure your problem

It’s moved as much as a foot !
Loading ramp fell off (thankfully on the out ward journey for the forky)

As said but you’ll find its the advice of most trailer manufacture’s that when dropping any trailer to 1st dump the rear suspension… you’ll some times find this on a plate by the leg winding handle

I cant see a deflation of the suspension airbags making it move up to a foot.
Have you contacted the manufacturer?

I found some trls shift enough if the weight loaded on the front 1st is enough but not a foot but enough for the lip to drop

We have some Schmitz Cargobull fridges and these move too, you drop one on the bay and if your’e not careful you can drag it forward about a foot which means the plate on the ramp won’t reach, same doing a tug test you can drag it a few feet which means you have not really give it a good tug.

Oh and ours seem to have short legs too which can be an arse dropping it on our sloping bays hence why we can sometimes drag them when dropping them, we also dump the air out of them.

Same as Bald Bloke above,we have some new Schmitz fridges and they ride at a higher level than the older ones too.
What we find is that if you drop one on a bay and they start loading it’ll ‘fall’ forward over the pivot of the feet on the legs. The only way to stop it is to dump the suspension.
