So, the lad who shares the truck I use is a United fan.
I do around 12hr days (lates) in the truck and he does around a 10 - 11hr night trunk.
He put a United scarf in the windscreen the other night, so when I too the truck over in the morning, I folded it up and put it in the cupboard.
It’s not that I’m not a United fan, I don’t support any football team, but in my eyes, having a United scalf in the windscreen is going to alienate me to approx 50% of the population in the places I visit and that’s without the car drivers who already hate us.
Anyway, he has a moan that it’s not doing any harm etc, so I said “it’s safe and neatly folded in the top cupboard” and he still has a moan and a whinge
So guys, poll time, am I right in shifting it (safely and with respect, not screwed up and thrown in an oily cupboard)?

Its your 12 hours, maybe you should come a city fan and put all your stuff up
Now now…
Seriously though, as I said, you might pull up somewhere, football team scarf in window, guy on the forklift supports another team and you’re there an extra half an hour or whatever.
Just seems a bad idea to me, so I put it out of sight. He can put it back in for his shift, it’s not heavy
Seriously if the kit is moved with care what does it matter. I always open the curtains across rear and side windows simply to give myself every advantage I can get.
What’s with all the teddy bears and soft toys? Looks like a ■■■■■■■■■■ bait box. 1 guy at our depot has 5 in the windscreen and another 2 in the side windows.
In a previous job I had to drive another drivers truck & it was covered in rangers tat . Flag , number plate , scarf the full lot ! I pulled onto a building site & heard the site agent telling the fork lift diver to " keep that orange bar steward waiting " I’m not even into football ! I totally agree with you removing it !
When I get in the cab for the night trunk I remove a green frog from the windscreen, a dream catcher the size of a small dustbin hanging off the sun shade and a name plate in front of the steering wheel. I replace them when I get out in the morning. The day guy could not care less as long as they are not damaged. I prefer nothing in the cab but each to their own.
Deffo move it. If it’s in the windscreen VOSA will have something to say if they see it if it’s obscuring the view.
Why do drivers put so much ■■■■■ in the truck? Especially if you happen to be tramping. You have little enough room without filling the unit with soft toys and dangly trimmings.
If you mean MAN utd I would feel more comfortable with a Gary Glitter scarf, at least it wouldn’t be as embarrassing as people thinking I supported THEM.
I am afraid that it would be remved nicely once and the driver advised to remove when he leaves the truk.
The second time it chucked on the floor on the pasenger side.
The third it is chucked accross the cab with the window open !

But as you know Man United are “The Red Devils” simple
