It’s a t cab scania. It says it has a twin splitter box in it. Surely it not THE twin splitter? Thoughts?

Unlikely. Probably a 3 over 3 with range and half splits.

Perhaps its got a proper engine and box in it !

■■■■■■■ and Eaton twinsplits Rule !

Yeah, the guy who went with me to show me the ropes said “just keep her around a hundred klicks and you won’t get looked at”. He was right, never had a problem.

That would spoil all the fun here…Far to sensible for us.

I imagine it is the 12speed + 2splitter which was known as the 14 speed box

It would be a novelty though

You’d be missing out on the fun in the listing as 1 question normally leads to another!

I remember years ago someone putting a twin splitter in a scania 142 so it is possible.

Yes - it was Bird’s of Oldbury I seem to recall - it was on the front cover of Truck one month. B reg rings a bell.

Years ago my uncle put a 13 speed fuller in a 142,his mate put a m11 in a f12 ,and aL10 in a F10 as they want the best at the time.

I think you will find the fuller box was standard in the early aussie Scania 142,s

Yep you are right I think …the dim and distant memory says I drove one a few times in Oz or NZ.

Birds had a 142 years ago with an eaton gearbox retrofitted.

My initial reaction was. Why would anybody want too spend £40 grand on a 13 year truck ■■
