Scania window??????

Hi all,

Started new job few weeks ago. Driving a P230 Scania. Drives bloomiong lovely and for first time I HAVE A BUNK wahooooo.

Anyways my question is, the drivers window dosent go all the way down, which is a bloody nightmare. Ive seen several other wagons with window all the way down. So am i missing something? Anyone any thoughts/ideas to get it all the way down?? :smiley:

Grats on the bunk :smiley: may you spend many a 45+ min break sound asleep in it :smiley:

As for the window, my Merc doesnt go all the way down …leaves maybe 3inch of glass showing …if yours is like that then tough lol

I’m not sure about that model but as Truckape says, some truck windows just don’t go all the way down. It seems like a glaring design fault to me, but that’s just the way it is unfortunately.

Hahaha thanks mate had several marvelous kips on it. Almost makes me fancy trying tramping.

I would say there is a good 6/7" of glass still poking out is a bloody pain!!!

If you look at the size of the window compared to the size of the door, you will reslise that window is bigger, meaning it is physically impossible for the window to go all the way down.

Ah i see. Must be different on others ive seen. Thank you very grateful. Now just to get poxy clutch saver removed!!!

the window on the p series dont go all the way down, all the r cabs the window does go all the way down
the p cab doors arnt as deep as r cabs, on the p cab doors the exterior handles are at the bottom, on the r cab doors the handle is approx 6inch from the bottom edge of the door

The window in our Volvo FM doesn’t go right down, which is a pain in t’arse given the job it does.

Also if your not careful if you keep your finger on the window button to long the window comes off it’s runner and you carnt get the bloody thing back up and it usually happened to me when it was raining or freezing,right pain in the rear taking the panel off to put the window back on the runner :imp:

If that`s your only problem with a Scania your doing bleedin well!

Its a P cab thats why, the doors are shorter than the R cab, which they do go all the way down on
IIRC
P = Poxy lol
