Scania warning light

Hi a quick one for all you scania lovers on here,We have several salford scanias on hire and every now and again we keep getting orange warning lights up looks like the white smoke button with a explanation mark in the middle.

What does this mean guys and is it safe to run with this?
Dont drive many scanias and no manulas in cab so any info would be greatly appricated

Hi i think its the white smoke warning - if you have the hand brake on with the engine running its something to do with the exhaust brake cutting the emissions but it causes extra white smoke
cheers
Steve

Next time the light comes on mate, flick the ignition key from off to on 4 times but actually starting the truck up on the 4th turn that should turn the light off hope this helps.

What you need to do is drive it to a builders merchant, purchase 1 pack of bricks, throw pack of bricks 1 at a time until all thrown, then douse remains of truck with petrol and set alight.

The light will probably still be lit but you’ll feel a lot happier and you won’t have to worry about the light anymore :grimacing:

On a “4series” at the far left of the dash it is the bottom switch, it has probably been turned on when the previous
driver was dusting the dashdoard.
