Did Scania use the AEC V8 and develop it to the original Scania 140■■?
No it’s an urban myth, they are totally different designs in many ways.
Hmmm. Well they (SAAB-Scania) certainly used the Riccardo-designed ex-Triumph Dolomite 4-cyl OHC engine (used back-to-front in the early 99) as the basis for their later SAAB-branded equivalent, so there’s history there!
