Watched a good one last night.
Arrived at Asda RDC Bristol which was quite packed as normal so parked on the road before the waiting bays, went in office with notes and that was also packed, standing at the window waiting for his notes was a Pentons driver , everybody trying to hand keys and notes in but this guy just would not move out the way.
Anyway he eventualy gets his notes and back out to truck which was parked right on the waiting bay line next to a Scania topline classic, to get out turning left would be tight as there was an Asda vehicle waiting on the road unableto back up , and he would have to screw it around, to go right was the clever option and then spin it at the top of yard and free run out.
What did he do ? started to come forward pulling over to the right, Good move ! WRONG!!! he then went straight and tried to screw it around to the left, CRUNCH, OI STOP! CRUNCH was what was heard. As you will have guessed his couple of inches clearance with the rear of his trailer and the Scania soon went and he proceeded to crunch up the Scania, looks like a new cab 's needed for the Scania now.
I think this was a classic case of an awkward old hand not knowing the swing of his trailer and not working out the situation before moving off
Yeah Zorba we’ve got one just like him on our firm, he’s done soooo much damage to the other units in the yard pulling out with his trailer that we avoid parking up near him at ALL costs, and he’s been driving for donkey’s years too, it just goes to show you that my sig is right
Ooooop’s !!!
