From the T-Cab thread it looks to have an engine hump where as proper T-Cabs have a flat floor, I reckon it’s an R730 with a lot of work done too it.

Tag axle spoils it for me
I find a mid lift more pleasing to the eye

There was a german bloke in one of the magazines last year who ordered a brand new 580 rigid and converted it into a t cab unit.
I cant see the point if you still have the engine hump.

It is s very true saying that some people have more money than sense. :unamused:

If you do have more money then sense then check this company out. This link will take you to the T730 build.

having looked at that thread of the build there doesnt seem a huge amount of work in building a T cab scania, obviously you need the wheel base to begin with, but aside from that i couldnt see any major fab work needed, new cab mounts, some wiring changes and a bonnet essentially, seems to be the basics - then doll it up as you see fit! so, just to ask a stupid question - is that what the “T” stands for then - torpedo??

Correct - Torpedo Cab.

How long is the bonnet on a t cab? as they use a standard cab over engine does that mean there’s a HUGE empty space above the engine?
