Scania Seat Shock absorber location?

Hi all does anyone know how to adjust the shock absorbers on the drivers seat as it bounces me up to the roof and then slams me down to the floor. I can’t find out anywhere how to Change it even looked in the manual and it says the shock absorber control is next to all the other seat controls but it’s not there on this truck?

On the right hand side where all the controls are, it should be the very front one. If you pull it up it softens it and down stiffens it

That’s the problem it’s not there I only have 3 controls there

That is correct in regards to the seat, but you might want to rephrase it now that Dipper Dave is back. [emoji6]

If i remember right there should be one at the front of the seat. But I could be completely wrong cause it’s been a good 10years since I drove a scania.

How bizarre! Hmm is there any switches on the front of the seat? If not, I’m afraid I’m out of ideas

That’s the newer models seat configuration. Your driving an old model. I vaguely remember something at the front of the seat. Have a look there.

On the most recent Scanias that I drove there was a lever that looked like it was on a collar, on the door side of the seat towards the front. The lever moved horizontally. These were 14 plate r series. If I get a chance I will get a picture later.

Was it this leaver

And when I move it it just makes a hissing noise and does nothing

I’d have said that was the back rest tilt forward/back lever. But why it hisses I don’t know.

No. I can see that it looks like my description but it’s not the one. There was no sound when I used the adjustment.

Here is the seat damper adjustment on the truck I used today, There are other types and it may be that your seat variation doesn’t have damper control. I have driven some DAF (spits) trucks with very little seat adjustment at all.
