can anybody help,can the baffels be removed from the standard exhaust to help with performance?
what you really want is one of these, a switchover valve, for the noise to go straight thru ,isnt it? admit it!!

Removing all the 90deg bends in the exhaust system will help more with performance 
If it helped performance, I’m sure Scania would have supplied it without the baffels from the factory!!!

Don’t do it. Just leave it alone, it’s not a MK2 ■■■■■■ and will cost a lot more than a new Peco back box if you get it wrong.
