Scania R420 Help

:laughing: the last wind up on here ran into 7 pages :open_mouth: Lets see how far this one runs.

chaversdad:
…if you let it run down hill at 60 ish now, mr tesco or the like looks at you like youve just mugged an old lady!

Thats no because you’ve just mugged an old lady, it’s cos they’re TOO SCARED to run over that magical speed :laughing: :laughing: :

Sorry, double post. lol:

WHAT A ARSE, :imp: :imp: :imp: :imp: :imp: :imp: :imp: :imp: :imp: :imp:

Gone are the days when knowing which fuse to pull would do the trick… :unamused:

Not really in the case of Scania but end up with no tachograph working and prob a whole lot of legal troubles if your caught and somthing which can be traced back at a later date easier.

infact i,m wrong the tachograph still does work, but the mileage won’t increase on the speedo, so end up espec with a digital tachograph the mileages out.

I hope that if you really do drive for a living and you manage to find a way round the limiter you stay well clear of West Yorkshire and surrounding areas.

See yer later on ‘Traffic Cops’ :laughing: :laughing: or ‘World’s Dumbest Criminals’ :laughing: :laughing: :laughing:

Dave Penn;

while i dont agree with him wanting the limiter off {wind up or not} why would travelling at more than 56mph make you a dangerous driver? its not that many years ago that there werent limiters and and most of us used to sit at 65mph all day long :smiley: i know more traffic now etc but its the same if you let it run down hill at 60 ish now, mr tesco or the like looks at you like youve just mugged an old lady!

anyone asking how to remove a limiter is probably doing all sorts of other stuff which they havent asked about. its running bent and that has become socially unacceptable on this forum (not that i disagree with that) so anyone asking how to run bent in any way is likely to take a hammering from most of the posters here. despite our public image, the vast majority are honest and law abiding drivers who want nothing more than to make a living without the authorities pulling us over every 5 minutes. the law breakers are damaging everyones reputation and increase the difficulties within the job and we just dont need that

Hey ‘chaversdad’ whereabouts in my post have I said that driving above the 56 mph limited speed would be perceived as driving dangerously :confused: :confused:

Just to put the record straight the majority of my one million plus miles (approx) of general haulage driving was done before the introduction of speed limiters and the bit’s I have done since the inroduction has only gone to reinforce the feeling of how much out of touch the rule makers are with the reality of life in the transport industry :unamused:

My response to ‘The Judge’ was done in a lighthearted way to someone who was obviously being a wind up which it’s seems most posters actually understood but your reponse actually gave out more than what was actually written :question: :bulb:

Now in your response you seem to have made a completely different interpretation of my post so I’m going to do the same to your post. If you think that people are giving funny/bad looks or disrespecting you when you drive past them at 60mph on the downhill overrun then in my experience, which is over and above lorry driving, you might be suffering from some underlying mental health problem, possibly paranoia, and it might be wise to seek some kind of therapy or just carry on with the medication. :laughing: :laughing: :wink:

I think ‘scanny 77’ has really added the crux of the issue to this thread, if someone wants to disable the limiter then they are more than likely going to be doing all the other things that go along with that and that’s when they become a danger on the roads and as I said hope they steer well clear of West Yorkshire and keep on the M62/M1/A1/A19 into Middlesborough :laughing: :laughing: :wink: :wink:

Stay clear of the 70/75 mph Scania R420’s coz the driver probably hasn’t slept for the last 20hrs and has worked continuously for the last 20 days without a proper break, but hey-ho there’s nowt wrong with doing that is there :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :unamused: Also he/she would probably be going too fast to notice the bad looks from the Tesco/Morrison’s/Asda and the majority of other drivers who do their best to stick to the rules. :wink:

Now ‘chaversdad’ I think this has been a very good exercise in putting my own interpretation and quoting things from someone else’s post that must have been typed in invisible text. :laughing:

It’s also funny that ‘The Judge’ hasn’t come back on the forum :exclamation: :question: :open_mouth: or maybe I just want this thread to go on longer than 7 pages (Darby Flyer) :laughing: :unamused: :wink:

Stay safe guy’'s and watch out for the 70/75 mph Scania R420’s :open_mouth: :laughing: :unamused: :wink: Also remember I’m the CEO of “The Wardens of the Mways” National Transport Report You Monitoring Scheme (Franchises still available) :unamused: :unamused: :laughing: :laughing: :laughing: :wink: and we are out there watching you :unamused: :unamused: :laughing: :laughing: :laughing: :wink: :wink:

Regards to you all
Dave Penn;

ok dave you can have that one :wink: { though the end of your last post went straight over my head :laughing: }

Hi ‘chaversdad’ good to see that you definelty haven’t succumb to the ‘sense of humour’ bypass :smiley: :wink:

As far as the the last bit of my post, if you do a search either on my user name or on ‘Wardens of the M62’ you will see what that is all about, all meant to keep the atmosphere light and jokey and hopefully gives us all a bit of relief from the daily grind :slight_smile:

Thanks for taking my response in the spirit that it was sent, if we can’t have a laugh about somethings we are going to end up bloody crying :blush: :blush: :laughing: :laughing: :wink:

All the best mate and hope all your trips are safe one’s :slight_smile: :wink:

Dave Penn;

What a pleasure to see that Dave Penn is still out and about, on the the Highways and Byeways of Northern England. :slight_smile: :slight_smile: :slight_smile: Keeping the travelling public safe from the activities of people like The Judge,( who is I suspect just a member of Vosa, possiblly a Hato, or even a member of Her Madge,s Plod, doing a bit of Phishing).it,s a pity that you weren,t so keen on keeping up the payments,for services rendered, into my Bank Account; Mr.Penn; Me being one of your Senior Franchisees. I haven,t been paid for months :stuck_out_tongue: Although, committed as I am to this worthy cause, I,m still out there on my “patch”, taking numbers, and pictures of all those Sarnie eating, Tea drinking,T&D Reading, members of the Trucking Fraternity., not keeping their eye to business.I will once more pm you my bank details , If that has no effect, I will post them on here.So pay up, or else!! :angry: :angry: :

Ps .Thanks for those holiday snaps that you sent me from Rampton. :smiley: :smiley:

a bit pointless when you look at the first response which was yours :laughing: :laughing: :laughing:
