Do any of you know if theres an ignition live in the compartment above the driver where the tacho is in a Scania? Looking at fitting a camera and it would make life easier if there was already a supply up there.

Not unless the kitchen pack or a cb is fitted, you will have to run a wire from the live 12 or 24 volt socket under the dash cover and up the side pillar easy enough to do about a 30 minute job, the dash just clips off and there are two star shaped screws on the window pillar.
