Hi can anyone tell me what type of gearbox I might find in a 2006 Scania P270 4x2 Curtainsider ,reason im asking is that im very new to lorry driving having only had my license 6 months and since passing my test in a Merc truck with 8 speed slapover box ive only driven lorrys with a 6speed box or auto and start a new job soon in this Scania and don’t want to look to green on my first day

No. They are actually very easy, I love mine and specifically spec’d it in my new truck. Go one YouTube and watch a video, it’s easy when you get your head round it.
Essentially it’s an auto, but you use a clutch pedal to engage a gear when pulling away, and for when you are coming to a complete stop.
