Scania LongLine Pics

This is the best collection I have seen in a long while.

The homepage links to various other galleries also.

Good Pics

How long have the Dutch been running these…?

Harry,
Judging by the registrations/placenames on the liveries most seem to be German (its also a German site). I thought the Stefan Huber one might be non German but Oberdorf is in Bayern area…

great trucks I bet the yanks will be screaming for these.
love the toilet LOL. we have a few trucks with big cabs mainly conventional ie long nose but they are limited for single trailer and road train work. most people over here if they are going big bucks they go the b double combo which runs 25 or 26 meters depending if you have front under run protection. and customers want load space ie more pallets than having the driver living in luxury.

I’ve heard a lot of comment about the T-Cab being unpopular in the UK because its’ extra length exceeded length restrictions on some setups. Does this mean the Longline would be a problem in the UK given that it also increases the unit’s overall length? I have never seen one on UK roads, is this the reason?

the longline is a normal scania cab on a T cab chassis and the back of the cab is where the back of the Tcab cab would be. The Tcab (as far as i know) has finished production. How long will the longline last is the question. Also will they ever do a face lifted one (to the new R cab)

Andy

Cheers, there is a pic on the page mentioned above that is both a T cab and a longline:

Which is an interesting one - almost truly American in its proportions!

Chorcheela; I noticed Dutch & Danish as well as German plates…But no big deal. They are certainly head turners…

…apparently the furniture that the people are sitting on is out of the cab

The T cab has finished production as far as the UK in concerned but is available in other countries, :frowning:

The Longline is a Special Order chassis not in full time production,

…now THAT is a nice motor. You could take the family on a 2 week holiday in it as well, ahhh, the memories of emptying chemical toilets into a cesspit in a rainy field in Wales at 7am!!

errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…

Went into Harthill services about 10 months ago to fuel up,
and the 8x4 Longline of Finn Hansen was in fueling up he was going to Grangemouth to pick up another Windmill.

The driver spoke good English and let me in it to have a look.

They look too naroow for their length to me but undoubtedly they are awesome head turners. I wonder what the chances of having one of these on brick and block work will be when I enquire with the boss?!!!
