Scania Load Transfer Switch?

This is fitted to the P280 reefer I drive but have no idea what it’s for or how/when to use it!!!

Can someone explain? Just curious really :slight_smile:

When flick that switch at your delivery point, it will transfer your load into the warehouse :slight_smile:

.When your loaded or part-loaded and your 2 rear axles are down, flicking that switch transfers weight from the tag axle onto the drive axle by releasing air from the tag axle suspension and adding air to the drive axle supension and it should really only be used on slippery surfaces when you lose traction on your drive axle.
If your empty and your tag axle is up, the switch does’nt do anything at all.

Thanks, that’s very helpful to know. I can probably make use of that function on one of my drops. I often loose a little traction backing into one loading area as it is over a slight crest. I suspect the loss of traction occurs as the tag is on the crest, so I’ll give it a try next time I’m there
