A quick note for anyone interested in taking part in this years Gathering of the Griffin this year.
This show is purely for Scanias and those that appreciate their heritage. From operators to drivers, truck spotters to model enthusiasts, all are welcome, young and old.
You may ask what’s in it for me? Nothing more than feel good factor. Costs to you start at nil if you wish to take part as a spectator, as an exhibitor £5 to cover admin, judged at £10 and sponsorship starts at £25.
The times and dates are from midday the 28th of September to 16.30 on the 29th.
As per last year, the trucks will, where possible, be displayed in chronological order and on departure, hopefully leave in the same fashion.
To see a convoy of Scanias coming over the Orwell bridge was A truly unique moment. With the Russell Davies 110 at the front of a 30+ strong convoy of Scania thru the decades and the tail end truck was HC Wilsons R580.
The location is The Orwell truckstop. A good venue with good facilities.
