This weekend see’s a truckshow for Scania fans. This show consists of 38 Scanias spanning 5 decades. To my knowledge this has never been achieved. Situated at the Orwell Crossing lorry park, Ipswich, this event spans 2 days ending with what promises to be a truly one off convoy as they leave the truckstop at 16.30 sunday. Leaving in age configuration, the fantastic 1974 110 will lead the way ending with the latest flag ship 730. This is a totally independant show, put together by enthusiasts. Truck entries maybe accepted up to midday saturday, £5 admin fee. Spectators are welcome free of charge. Come and have a look. Regards Rob.
Event starts at 12.00 Saturday the 23rd of June thru till 16.30 the next day.
Well heres the list of trucks expected to turn up this weekend. 38 at the moment, that could all change. Been a few had to back out. Still gonna be quite an inpressive line up. This is just the start. I look forward to seeing you all at the weekend.
WOW … would love to come to this … unfortunately won’t be able to. Hopefully some-one will take and post some photos ? I know The Biker ( member on here ) would love to see photos too. LOL
Hope the weather holds fine for you guys.
I’m taking my youngest to that - he loves a Scania! Looking forward especially to seeing the 141 - first truck I ever ‘drove’ - at the age of 9 (well, kangarooed it is probably closer to the mark!)
Good morning from Orwell crossing, Ipswich. A bit damp underfoot, dry overhead. 30 Scanias so far. Some good variants, some quite unique trucks. The first truck ever owned by Glyn Davies, the last truck to leave the ownership of Carters of Woodbridge, Stuart Haynes 620, John Coopers 112 and so many more. Hopefully a few more to come. Arrivals in the last 10 mins, 1988 142 and a 2010 620. Brave the weather and give it a look. The convoy thru the ages should depart at 16.30. It promises to be a very unique sight.
good turnout, I got down there at 330 this afternoon and a couple had left, then wnet to take some photos of the trucks on the little run they made. Computers playing up at the moment, but will try and get some up
