Scania Front cab supension

Can anybody tell me how to add air to the front cab suspension bags.Cab has had new suspension parts but still keeps banging down over bumps. Not sure the bags are hard enough. Its driving me mad!
Cheers.

on the nearside front were the valve is for the bags there is a bar tha fits on to to ball ends, 1 on the valve, 1 fixed to the cab, remove the bar and unscrew it so it goes longer that way the bags wil have more air when u re-fit the bar, also check the bushes at the bottom of the bags that are bolted onto the cab anit-roll bar and also check were the the cab anti-roll bar bolts onto the cab that the bushes are in good conditon you can sort of check these by opening the doors and givin the cab a shake front to back, also check the rear of the cab were the jaw’s meet the locking device as there is 4/8 bushes there aswell

hope this helps

If you’ve had new suspension parts fitted and ain’t happy, take it back, sure they charged you enough!

Could be the bottom Bearing usually on the drivers side looks like a piece of metal going down the towarads the floor then Finns parrallel with the outside of the chassis

Its the cab tilt ram, just pump it down and the banging will stop?

The air bags on the front of the cab have shock absorbers fitted inside them .
My 4 series had the same symptoms as yours and replacing these shockers solved the problem.

MIne went a couple of weeks ago and after 2 days of rattling around I decided to have a good look around to unearth the problem. The lever had come off the valve meaning the bags were solid, fixed in 30 seconds with a cable tie. Result.

JUST PUT A DAF SSC CAB ON THE SCANIA CHASSIE :grimacing: that would cure it :grimacing: :grimacing:

Might make the daf a half decent wagon then, with decent running gear, and an engine that doesnt blow head gaskets every half hour!!
